SCHOOL GOALS

All students at BVIS will be able to advocate for themselves through a deep understanding of their academic self.  Learners are supported to develop skills to influence and ultimately direct their learning. 

  • Teachers use restorative classroom management strategies and learners understand how rituals and routines support restorative classroom practices

Learners participate joyfully and constructively in group processes, conflict resolution, community service and community-building. Reflects understanding that "the community is what you make it."

  • Teachers Empower all learners to understand themselves as learners and to direct their own learning. Learners respond responsibly to the freedom and choices they are given

 

HISTORY & CULTURE

Bear Valley International School (BVIS) is one of three middle schools located at the Henry Middle School Campus. BVIS is a traditional middle school option designed by the Southwest Denver community for the Southwest Denver community.
